The are three kinds of M38 Carcanos: the M38 Rifle, M38 Cavalry Carbine, and the M38 T.S. Italy was planning of converting
to a different caliber, 7.35 and made the first M38 in this caliber but with war looming they did not want ot be caught having
two different calibers and switched back to 6.5. Later in the war an 8mm version was tried.
